RTC - Sefton Street - Wednesday 15 February

Merseyside Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious injury road traffic collision in Liverpool city centre yesterday evening (Wednesday, 15 February 2017).

Officers were called to Sefton Street near to the Coburg public house at around 7.05pm following a report that there had been a collision between a Mazda 3 car and a motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, who suffered serious leg, arm and back injuries, was taken to hospital where he is being treated. His condition is described as serious.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is assisting the police.

Officers from the Matrix Serious Organised Crime Roads Policing Unit are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them on 0151 777 5747 or via 101.
