Update: Third Man Arrested As Part Of Investigation Into New Ferry Explosion

Detectives investigating an explosion in New Ferry in March have today, Friday 19 May, arrested a third man.

A warrant was executed in the Cheshire area this morning.

A 65 year-old man from the Cheshire area has been arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit arson with intent/reckless as to whether life was endangered and an offence under the Fraud Act 2006.

 He will be questioned by detectives today.

Detectives investigating an explosion in New Ferry in March have today, Wednesday 17 May, arrested two men.

Officers executed warrants at addresses in North Wales and in Wirral this morning.

A 62 year-old man, from the North Wales area, has been arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit arson with intent/reckless as to whether life was endangered and an offence under the Fraud Act 2006.

A 55 year-old man, from Wirral, has been arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit arson with intent/reckless as to whether life was endangered and an offence under the Fraud Act 2006.

Both men will be questioned by detectives today.
