Dog attack on Lawrence Road, Liverpool: Help us find the man in this CCTV image

Merseyside Police is appealing for information to identify a man we’d like to speak to after a dog incident in Lawrence Road, Liverpool.

The incident took place on Saturday, 18 November at around 8.40pm when a dog is reported to have bitten a man’s hand, resulting in him undergoing plastic surgery.

Inspector Philip McManus said: “Do you know this man? We’d really like your help to identify him as we believe he holds crucial information which will help with our enquiries and bring justice to the victim.

“If you were in the area at the time of the event or shopping in the Co-Op on Lawrence Road and saw something or even know the man in the CCTV picture, we urge you to get in contact so we can prevent further incidents like these from happening.

“We also remind all dog owners to be mindful of their dog’s strength and behaviour when out in public if it is liable to be aggressive regardless of whether it is on a lead or not. We will not tolerate irresponsible dog ownership on Merseyside and want to maintain all residential and public areas as welcoming places to be.
