CCTV appeal following online fraud offences

Detectives investigating a series of fraud offences have released CCTV stills of a man they believe could have information which may help us with our enquiries.

It was reported that between November 2017 and January 2018, a number of victims were defrauded of over £25,000 through online scams involving the false sale of goods.

Extensive enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and locate those responsible.

Inspector Susan Stribling said: “We are particularly keen to trace the man pictured as we believe he may have information vital to our investigation and I would urge him, or anyone who recognises him to please come forward.

“Unfortunately we've seen individual lose thousands of pounds after falling for these scams and I would like to remind members of the public to be extra vigilant online. If you're suspicious, or think you have been a victim of a scam, please call the Action Fraud helpline on 0300 123 2040.”
