**Published on Thursday, 8 November at 8.50am**
Detectives are issuing the CCTV image of a woman they wish to speak to following the assault of a door supervisor in Liverpool City Centre in October.
At around 5.30am on Saturday 13, October, the victim, a woman in her 20s, was working at Heaven nightclub on Victoria Street, when she was slapped and punched to the face by a woman who was being ejected from the premises.
Detective Inspector Judith Blease said: “We need to speak to the woman pictured as she may have vital information to help our enquiries into this disgraceful act of violence.
“Merseyside Police works very closely with door security firms across the force and I want to reassure them that any attacks on those working to protect people enjoying a night out in Liverpool is completely unacceptable and will never be tolerated. We will fully support clubs and bars in any prosecutions of this kind.
“Come forward with any information you have and we will take positive action to identify anyone responsible for such attacks, and keep this city as a vibrant and safe place to live, work and visit.”
